Purple: You Have Been Dismissed.

There is a place where blue begins turning into purple. I hate this place. I hate this color. It makes my eyes hurt.
And that is saying a lot for a graphic designer. So, purple; fuck you… you’ve been dismissed. I believe Prince’s dismissal covered this a bit, but I wanted to call out this place on the spectrum specifically.
I do not like you and I would not wear you, paint a room with you, drive a car colored by you, recommend you, stare at you, eat you or do anything with you. Goodbye.

I was told last night, African American people look good in purple. I didn’t agree.
I have a problem with purple just about every day. Idiots design things that they want to be blue with way to much magenta, which makes it purple. I bet if you showed a swatch of Reflex Blue to 80% of the world, they would say that it is purple, so don’t use it if you don’t like purple. Then I suck all the magenta out of their “artwork” and their “sexy” lady in their “design” now looks white as a ghost. No one wants purple, they want blue.
totally. 99% of my work stays in rgb for broadcast, but same problem. somebody decides they want blue and there’s a little to much red in the thing, a lens-flare later and you’ve a shitty violet/purple value and i want to throw up.
Grimace thinks you’re a racist.
Purple is unnecessary. A purple car is worse than a yellow car and that’s saying a lot coming from me. Thankfully you don’t see purple cars often.
